Day 01
Arrival / Pinnawala / KandyWe have now started your five day vacay to Sri Lanka. We will start off by picking you up at the Bandaranaike International Airport, and then transporting you straight to Pinnawala, an eye-catching and refreshing place to start your journey to Sri Lanka. It is so rich in flora and wildlife, as well as cultural diversity, that it will not fail to captivate your heart. Consider the sight of more than 80 elephants walking from their feeding area to the nearby Maha River to wash. Isn't it fascinating? This once-in-a-lifetime occurrence may be witnessed at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, which was founded by the Sri Lankan government in 1975 in response to a huge increase in the number of newborn elephants taken from their mothers. Pinnawala is a prominent tourist site in Sri Lanka and a must-see for visitors. We will then journey on to the hills of Kandy.
Day 02
Kandy / Nuwara EliyaIt is now time for you to explore the beautiful and exciting city of Kandy. Kandy is a sacred city due to the prominence and spiritual significance of the Temple of the Tooth Relic (a precious tooth of the Buddha), which is a classified UNESCO World Heritage Site. From Kandy, we will keep climbing the steep hills into the cold mist of Nuwara Eliya. The town of Nuwara Eliya is well known in Sri Lanka for its tea industry. Apart from the tea plantations, popular attractions in the town include the Royal Botanical Garden, Horton Plains National Park, Gregory Lake, and Sita Temple.
Day 03
Nuwara Eliya / Kithulgala / BentotaAfter a thorough exploration of the enchanting hills of Nuwara Eliya, we will take our journey further to Kithulgala. Kitulgala, a tiny Sri Lankan town in the country's west, is nestled among wooded hills. Kitulgala is well renowned for being the most popular white water rafting destination in Sri Lanka, and a visit here is a fantastic blend of nature and adventure. It is also one of Sri Lanka's wettest areas. The Kelani River, which runs through town, was used as a filming site for the 1957 Oscar-winning film 'The Bridge On the River Kwai.' Following an adventurous white water rafting ride in Kithulgala, we will move on through the sandy coast, all the way to Bentota.
Day 04
Bentota / ColomboBentota is a tourist hotspot due to its natural beauty and attractions, yet it's not congested. It is one of the nicest beaches in Sri Lanka for families for a fun, relaxing and exciting time. With breathtaking sights such as the Bentota Beach, the Bentota River, the Turtle Hatchery and the Bentota Bazaar, it is a must-see part of Sri Lanka. Once we have had our fill of the Bentota coast, we will journey further West to the capital of Colombo. Colombo, Sri Lanka's capital, is a fascinating representation of the country's differences. Colombo offers an interesting introduction to old and new Sri Lanka, from the angst of the High Security Zone to the pleasant natives going about their daily business, and the colonnaded verandas of the past to the glamorous five-star hotels.
